Crimewave hits LA!!
well yes, this week i'll be doing some things in Los Angeles, so you midwesterners tell tell yer CA pals!!
also.... just out is a limited hand-painted UK-label CDR of the Plastic Crimewave Expanse, an ensemble i put together in NY with members of the spires that in the sunset rise, creeping nobodies, the bummer road, la otracina, thurston moore's band, etc--check it out here:

Presented by Arthur magazine and the Cinefamily:
I'm VERY excited to be doing a live score to 1928 german expressionist thriller/proto-horror film 'The Man Who Laughs' at the Silent Movie Theatre, 611 N.Fairfax. Playing in my ensemble will be Ariel Pink and Jimi Hey, and i will also do a solo score to Melles' 'Trip to the Moon.' My pal Frankie Delmane will be DJ-ing esoteric sounds in between the screenings.
and....
a new 'Secret History of Chicago Music' will run in the Reader this week, featuring Chicago's own The Chosen Few, a terrific teen garage band featuring past SHOCM subject Chet Nichols.

there will be no radio show this week because i will be playing live to a film in LA at the same time! we will catch up and still play The Chosen Few two weeks from now, most likely on May 25.

June 21 PCWS at Subterranean with Simply Saucer, Miss Alex White and Submarine Races.
